The Synopsis Origins
Synopsis Planet, founded in 2020, is a start-up company from the Laboratory for Scientific and Space Instrumentation and Modelling (SIM).
It was conceived with the goal of transferring academic know-how to space and new space industry.
With its headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal, the company was incubated in TECLABS, a business development center of the Faculty of Sciences at the University of Lisbon (ULisboa).
Synopsis Planet aims to ease the access to the space sector through the integration of advanced technologies into known systems and applications.
Since our inception, we have been closely associated with the European Space Agency (ESA) and actively participated in the HELENA EM LiDAR project.
Currently, we are developing the Planetary Laser Altimeter (PALT) for the HERA mission.
To that end, we were commissioned to integrate our proprietary microchip laser, now at the TRL 4 stage, with the PALT.
Our team includes professionals with vast experience in the Aerospace sector, coming from pre-eminent Academic Institutes with a strong background in advanced science and engineering areas.
